About

Two people, twenty years, one move.

We closed a working agency in Austria in September 2024 and started again in Dubai. Every client came with us — which probably tells you more about how we work than anything else on this website.

The move

Why we are in Dubai.

For twenty years we built websites and shops from Austria, mostly for clients in Austria and Germany, and most of those sites are still running. In September 2024 we closed that company, moved here with our two children, and founded DANBIA LLC in Sharjah Media City.

Dubai had been the plan for a long time. It is safe, the schools our children go to are good, the weather is not something you negotiate with, and setting up a company here takes days rather than a year of paperwork. None of that is a complaint about anywhere else — it is simply what we wanted, and this is where it was available.

What did not change is the work. Our clients are still mostly in Austria and Germany, we still speak to them in German, and not one of them left when we moved. Where we sit turned out to matter far less than whether we answer — and after twenty years, most of them already knew we would.

The two of us

Twenty years of working together, and living together.

Which sounds like it should be a problem and turns out to be the reason nothing falls between us. There is no handover in this studio, because there is nobody to hand over to.

DAN

Daniel Redlinger

Web, e-commerce, technique

Websites, online shops, B2B, SEO, Google Ads, servers and security. Twenty years in the same field, and long enough inside WordPress and WooCommerce to know which parts of them break, when, and why — which is a duller skill than it sounds and worth more than most of the interesting ones.

If you write to us about something technical, or you are not sure who your question belongs to, it lands with Daniel. What that covers in practice is on the services page.

BIA

Bianca Nistor

Design, brand, print

Corporate identity, logo design, brand kits, packaging, catalogues and everything that goes to press. Trained at a design academy in Salzburg and twenty years in the profession — which is why our print files come back from the printer without a phone call asking for the open file.

If your question is about how something looks, or how it is going to be produced, it lands with Bianca. Her half of the studio is on the design page.

The part that surprised us

Not one client left.

We told everyone months in advance and expected to lose a few — a supplier moving to another continent is a reasonable thing to be nervous about. Nobody went. It turns out that what a client actually wants is not proximity but the same two people picking up, which is also why the average relationship here now runs past six years. The work on this site is theirs.

Two people is either a problem or the point.

If you have been passed between account managers before, you already know which one it is. Write to whichever of us the question belongs to — or to either of us, and we will sort that out ourselves.
