Case study · B2B catalogue & enquiry

A catalogue for people who are not customers yet.

SEEWALD Private Label manufactures for other brands across the EU. Everything on this site is aimed at companies who have never bought there — and there is no checkout anywhere on it, on purpose.

See it liveThe catalogue runs in German. The structure is language-independent — we build it in whatever markets you sell into.

What happened

The first question was always the same one.

Before

Every conversation opened with a prospect asking what the company actually carries — and every conversation therefore started from zero, with somebody in sales describing a portfolio out loud or attaching a list to an email.

For a manufacturer that produces for other brands, that is the whole bottleneck. The product is not the problem and the price is not the problem. Being able to see the range is.

The job

Show the complete portfolio to people who are not customers yet, without putting prices on the internet and without taking the conversation away from sales. Those three requirements together rule out a normal shop.

So the answer was not a shop with the checkout switched off. It was a catalogue designed from the start around one action: assembling a selection and sending it in.

What we built

All hundred and twenty products online with the detail a buyer in this field needs. A wish list that survives between visits, so an assortment can be built over a week rather than in one sitting. One enquiry at the end that arrives with the products, the quantities and the notes already in it.

No prices, no cart, no account required to look. Sales keeps the first conversation — but starts it several steps further in than before. The two routes and when each one fits are on our B2B shops page.

Result

The enquiry arrives already specified.

“The first question used to be: what do you actually carry? Today the full portfolio is online, and the enquiry arrives with a specific selection already made.”
